20 of Dublin's top Chefs

RTE host Ryan Tubridy enjoyed the good life yesterday when he was joined by Miss Ireland for an impromptu picnic, served by Michelin star chefs.

Dylan McGrath from Mint restaurant and Oliver Dunne of Bon Appetit, served up platters of delicacies for Ryan and Blathnaid McKenna in the beautiful gardens of the Merrion Hotel.

But soon the rest of us will also be able to taste the country's newest Michelin star chefs' tasty treats.

They will be available at the Taste of Dublin Festival which returns to the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin from Thursday June 12, with the aid of the Irish Independent.

Over 20 of Dublin's top restaurant and celebrity chefs will show off their skills at a Chefs' Demonstration Theatre.

The festival, which is sponsored by Oceanico Group, will cater for up to 32,000 food lovers over four days.

Visitors can exchange the show's currency, called florins, to buy sample dishes from restaurants with an agreed price range of between 5 and 8, and drinks from exhibitors and bars.

There will also be jazz, dance, comedy and theatre performances.
