Seven Talented Chefs

 
Taking place on Thursday, February 21, hosted by Samantha Shanken of Wine Spectator magazine, master sommelier Laura De Pasquale and Yvonne Roberts of the Biltmore Cellar Club, D'Vine Divas features a sumptuous multi-course menu prepared by a who's who of national and South Florida female chefs paired with amazing wines by some of the world's most respected female winemakers. In keeping with the Festival's philanthropic spirit, the dinner will include a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. "D'Vine Divas pays tribute to the passion and creativity of women in wine and food," said Shanken, who has had Type 1 Diabetes for 20 years and been an active Board member of the DRI. "This combination of amazing cuisine, talented chefs and beautiful wines will surely make the event an unforgettable success."

Held in the hotel's lavish Country Club Ballroom, the dinner begins with a cocktail reception, featuring passed hors d'oeuvres by star South Florida toques Andrea Curto-Randazzo (Talula & Creative Tastes Catering), Cindy Hutson (Ortanique on the Mile) and Maria Frumkin (Top Chef Miami guest judge formerly of DUO Restaurant). There will also be an after-party hosted by Grand Marnier and Cigar Aficionado. The dinner menu and featured winemakers follows:

Featured winemakers include Alexandra Lapostolle (Casa Lapostolle), Florence Cathiard (Cht. Smith-Haut-Lafitte), Francesca Planeta (Planeta), Mary Colhoun (Landmark Vineyards) and Veronique Drouhin (Drouhin).
