Hello,

my name is john and I am currently studying a level 3 proffesional cookery course, I am begining to wonder what the industry is like and I am feeling a bit intimidated as to whats to come in this year once I leave college.

I am your average student who is punctual, commited and shows an interest to learn so there is nothing special about me, I dont know why but at the moment I am worried that I will leave college unprepared for a job in a real kitchen which i know to most will seem laughable but it is a real fear.

Has anyone else felt like this? is it normal

Hi John, every time we are going out of our comfort zone make us uncomfortable, which is totally normal, from my point of view. Don't to worry to much, any professional kitchen that you are going to join will give you some guidance, just be open to gain knowledge to build up your career. Good luck.

Hi I have just been thrown in at the deep end. I was supposed to help a chef I didn't know by helping it meant the chef had two days off and I covered the two days alone. I have to prepare everything plus desserts and cook it for 40 people, make pastry and cakes. load two trolleys serve the residents. Go back up and wash up and sanatize the kitchen a mop the floors and I'm not even a trained chef. I have no formal training and no qualifications. at 60 years old I just wanted to earn a few bob not be exploited.

Indian cuisine is characterized by the extensive use of numerous spices. It may be called the “heartbeat” of an Indian kitchen. Prepare Best Dishes with Indian Spices online. http://www.mangalorespice.com
