I am a new chef and I am working in a kitchen already. I want a job that works with pretty local ingredients and makes dishes from scratch. There are a few places near me that do this but I have not seen any job postings anywhere for a chef. I was wondering if it would be acceptable or frowned upon if I went in and talked to a manager and gave them my resume to inquire about a position.
