Yashin Ocean House for a Sushi Health-Kick

Yashin Ocean House in South Kensington is the ultimate restaurant for a healthy yet delicious start to 2015. It offers an extensive sushi selection, including Yashin spicy salmon rolls (£7.80); steamed stone bass with beetroot gel, celeriac and salsify (£17) and Tuna with a truffle infused ponzu jelly (£11).

City Social Bar, cocktail creations

The City Social bar has launched a new creative collection of cocktails, created by award-winning mixologist Matt Fairhurst.

The dynamic new cocktail menu includes a host of innovative creations aptly named with witty titles such as Gold Plum Sachs (Diplomatico Reserva rum, plum shrub, Lapsang amaro, chocolate bitters, chocolate currency) and Marvelous Medicine (Asyla blended Scotch, locket syrup, Lillet Blanc, Peychauds, ‘prescription’). Matt is currently competing in the Bacardi Legacy competition with his creation Tempting Fate (Bacardi Superior, english apple, elderflower, Sweet vermouth, shrub, ‘Legacy’), now available at City Social

Le Chabanais opens March 2015

The team behind France’s hit restaurant Le Chateaubriand will open their first outpost in London next year, on Mount Street in Mayfair. The restaurant, named Le Chabanais (8 Mount Street, London W1) has been conceived by Varun Talreja together with Le Chateaubriand’s self-trained Basque chef owner Inaki Aizpitarte and his partners Franck Audoux and Laurent Cabut.

Kevin Lansdown, former General Manager of Scott’s will be overseeing the restaurant which will see Le Chateaubriand’s head chef Paul Boudier join the team in London to head up the kitchen. The 90-cover restaurant and bar has been designed by Clement Blanchet
